Your Guidance Counsellor
Your Guidance Counsellor is someone you can talk to about a lot of different issues, and they can help you find further supports as well. Many, but not all, schools will have a guidance counsellor who you can make an appointment with, and they are trained to help you with your personal development, social development, and education and career guidance. Guidance counselling is also available in colleges, universities, your local employment office, as well as privately.
Speaking to your guidance counsellor is strictly confidential, and they can provide ongoing counselling to you or support you while you might be referred to an other service that can help you further with your mental health or other needs.
